Should cursive be taught in schools?

Studies show that writing things down implants them into your brain better than typing on a computer. Do you think cursive should be taught in school?

Honestly, cursive is common to teach in schools, but lately schools have been dropping the cursive subject, instead they practice keyboarding or typing on the computer. Technology is taking over writing and over other subjects. Even though I think that we should teach technology and other computer related things, I still think that we shouldn’t replace writing.

Even I am getting pulled away from writing because I am typing this very story instead of writing it. Me and a former peer of mine helped me pull kids to see if cursive should be taught in school, surprisingly most kids in 6th grade through 7th grade say yes. In the end, cursive and writing still live on no matter how hard we try to get rid of it.

Bree, your article had lots of detail. Even though I disagree with your opinion, it was a great article.
